The exhibition was the fourth and the last presentation of artist´s oeuvre in connection with the 100th anniversary of his birth. A sculptor Rudolf Uher is hard to classify in the context of 20th century Slovak sculpture. He was thirty when he decided to hang up his teaching career and become a painter. Since then, he considerably shifted the borders of perception of sculpture. The symbol of his work reaching beyond the borders of Slovakia can be considered two of his crucial works: Stone and Fire (placed in front of the Czechoslovak Pavilion at EXPO OSAKA) and Sculpture for Concrete (Vermont, USA).
