Ildikó Pálová (*1982) entered the Slovak art scene at the time when painting began regaining positions that it had temporarily lost. Already the works completed during her studies show the signs of maturity. From the very beginning, she has been a figural painter. Apart from the appearance she has also been interested in the examination of the sitter´s nature. In 2014 she found a new big theme – The 27 Club.
The Club is a list of popular musicians and painters who died at the age of twenty-seven. Some of them did not bear up the huge pressure of fame and committed suicide, others died as a result of drug and alcohol abuse, or dies under mysterious circumstances. The list of the 27 Club members is quite long. Ildikó Pálová chose eleven artists. The exhibition has been mounted in cooperation with the Bratislava City Gallery and Krása Publishing House, and was presented in Košice, Vienna, Bratislava and Prague.
